It comes ready to assemble and paint, 2 coats of light spackle then paint with latex paint. Use Gorilla glue.
The battery hatch cover is held in place with magnets. The hatch can be water proofed with Silicone or vasiline. (I skipped this)

The front 3/8" balsa mount is 6" tall and the rear mount is 5 5/8" tall, the front mount is 6 3/4" back from the nose and the mounts are 9" apart.
Close up of the mount, 1/8" plywood and a 1/8" bamboo dowel for a rubber band.
Close up of the magnets holding Snoopy in place, washers are glued to the base with Gorilla Glue. The magnets are inbedded in the foam and glued, use a soldering iron to make a hole for the magnets. (note slot for battery wire) Drill the cockpit floor and Snoopy and add bamboo dowels for strenght.
Close up of a magnet and base of mount, drill up the mount and glue in a bamboo dowel let it stick out and Gorilla glue into the foam boat as well for added strength.
